here's a drum i did for the play 'the ecstasy of rita joe'
it's based on pictograph art in the secwepemc/n'laka pamux areas
and is called 'the earthquake sisters'. the two spermy looking things are lightning
and the large "X" is the brightest star on the horizon.....and the lines surrounding it are markers of time........
i love painting!
