above is an image of my daughter and her 99 year old grandmother, a few days before my grandmother passed into the spirit world. i'll never forget my grandfather talking to me, in 1982, not long before he passed away, that he had to leave to make room for a new life in our family. that just happened to be my younger brother tim. it was heavy. for a long time after that i was always nervous when someone was being born in our family. though i'm sure that wasn't the intent of my grandpa telling me. what he was really saying is that it this was part of the natural cycle of life.
