hope it is going well in your world, over here in British Columbia, more specifically, Kamloops, BC, we're approaching record rain and floods we haven't seen in nearly 4 decades. lame.
i've personally never the north/south thompson rivers this high before. they've pushed inland a good 50 feet that is usually land. my guess is they've risen nearly 20 feet this spring. crazy.
anyway, i've got a whole whack of new art i'm going to start posting and feel good, got through whatever slump was plaguing me.
this isn't true, i've been busy making art everyday, just opting not to post it. sometimes it's good not to let the world see what you're building in the woodshed.
been doing a lot of admin, getting ready for the summer workshop series the arbor collective will be doing, planning exhibitions, and finalizing some details for the "Voices of the Valley Music and Arts Festival" which will be taking place Saturday, August 11th, from 1 pm to 10 pm in beautiful Spence's Bridge, BC.
it might be the only First Nations Festival in the interior, and i'm really excited about it, we'll keep going on it and expanding it and letting it grow organically.
this year, we'll have musicians Niska Napoleon, Gitwaalk Jeremy, Blackout Artists and SKookum Soundsystem!!!!
there'll be movies, art, spoken word and more......
hosted by the Cooksferry Indian Band!!!
cheers,
Chief Tetlinitsa Memorial Building in Spence's Bridge,
where the Festival will take place!
