re: heading home....

hello friends, fan, foe and lovers,

here's my new song and video, called "heading home," a music video about well, heading home. haha. i spent a lot of time this past summer in spences bridge on the rez, on my mum's side of the family. it was pretty cool to get to know people back home and hang out with my mum, i haven't done that in years. there was a healing element to it i think because i feel pretty good and grounded, and ready for the future and what lies ahead.

so, enjoy and until next time,

chris bose.

re: Nkemcin: Voices of the Valley

hello friends, fans, foe and lovers,

i can't believe what a crazy, awesome month August was, and now it's nearly over! damn!

i feel honoured and fricken lucky to have been a part of so many cool, fun and slightly insane things in the past month. i survived.

now i'm getting stoked and busy again!

big thanks to my bro Nacoma George of CrazyCutz for helping making this event happen, Graham How for doing an amazing job on the sound and lights, and David Walkem and the staff and council at the Cooksferry Indian Band for making this happen!

woohoo! next year we're gonna go for the weekend and more fun things to happen!

cheers,

cb

re: Nkemcin Voices of the Valley

hello friends, fans, foe and lovers,

here's a poster for the upcoming First Nations Music and Art festival I'm coordinating in Spences Bridge, BC, at the Chief Tetlinitsa Memorial Theatre right where the Thompson and Nicola Rivers meet on Highway 8.

It's August 11, and it's free admission, free camping, and good times. bring plenty of food and water, come camp out and check out the awesome bands and art!!!!!!!

cheers,

re: the weather

hello friends, fans, foe and lovers,

hope it is going well in your world, over here in British Columbia, more specifically, Kamloops, BC, we're approaching record rain and floods we haven't seen in nearly 4 decades. lame.

i've personally never the north/south thompson rivers this high before. they've pushed inland a good 50 feet that is usually land. my guess is they've risen nearly 20 feet this spring. crazy.

anyway, i've got a whole whack of new art i'm going to start posting and feel good, got through whatever slump was plaguing me.

this isn't true, i've been busy making art everyday, just opting not to post it. sometimes it's good not to let the world see what you're building in the woodshed.

been doing a lot of admin, getting ready for the summer workshop series the arbor collective will be doing, planning exhibitions, and finalizing some details for the "Voices of the Valley Music and Arts Festival" which will be taking place Saturday, August 11th, from 1 pm to 10 pm in beautiful Spence's Bridge, BC.

it might be the only First Nations Festival in the interior, and i'm really excited about it, we'll keep going on it and expanding it and letting it grow organically.

this year, we'll have musicians Niska Napoleon, Gitwaalk Jeremy, Blackout Artists and SKookum Soundsystem!!!!

there'll be movies, art, spoken word and more......

hosted by the Cooksferry Indian Band!!!

cheers,
