re: the last temptation of buffalo boy.....

hello sinners, winners, losers and lovers,

some new work just for you.

i'm watching the dvd "Opeth: live at the Royal Albert Hall" or whatever it's called. it's awesome.

they're amazing live, i saw them last year on the "Heritage Hunter Tour." the show was in a lame venue, i can't remember what it's called, in Vancity, but you had to stay in your seat, you could stand, but you couldn't get up and mosh in a pit. it was fricken weird. you'd get kicked out if you tried. booh.

but Mastodon and Ghost played and were really good, yet the thing i remember the most was Opeth and how funny the lead singer was, he was a charming bastard and hilarious. in comparison, Mastodon didn't say a thing between the songs. boring. and Ghost were quite dramatic, opening with the weird chanting thing from the movie "Eyes Wide Shut," that scene where the rich are conducting a weird ceremony and Tom Cruise has snuck in and watched.

anyway, hope all is well in your world, i just realized i've been playing a ton of guitar, and a ton of heavy guitar, been recording everything too! my guess would be nearly 40 tracks. total songs, recorded with a handy little "Zoom" recorder. my style of songwriting is to sit and hammer out a song in one sitting, i play totally stream of consciousness, and let the music come through without a lot of complex thoughts and arrangements. which isn't true, because i've been playing guitar for at least 25 years, so it's kind of second nature, and after that length of time, i should be able to write a decent song or two! haha!

anyway, enjoy the new art. i'm trying to figure out new ways to display my art for exhibitions.

until next time,

cb
