re: been away on the road....

hello friends, fans, foe and lovers,

i've been away for a long spell, had some family stuff come up, an emergency with the old man, the heart of it all, the root of all coyote and such. so, i was busy and focused on raising some cash and getting across the country to see the old fart. mission accomplished.

now i'm back in b.c. and sort of clearing my head, and taking stock mentally of this years challenges and what i'm going to be doing next year. the haunting question, do i go after my MFA or just be an MFA and go for it? I don't know. wavering uncertainty sucks. haha.

On thing for certain is i do not want a repeat of next year. argh.

so, i'll be posting some images from the road, i didn't take a computer with me, all i had was my phone, but it was an amazing trip half way across the country of canada, and i had a lot of time to stare out the window and think.

in the meantime, i'll be posting some photos and be working on new art and music and writing and films and stuff and keep you posted.

all the bets,

cb

banff somewhere.
my favourite new town in canada
is canmore, alberta.
i'd live there a couple months a year for sure.
unbelievable views.

this was paste up on an abandoned
gas pump at an abandoned gas station
in brandon, manitoba.
i like how it says "obese" instead of obey
by accident. haha!
brandon, was kind of an abandoned, dusty town
that looked like it had seen better days
just by the architecture
you could tell.

cool textured wall and graffiti
in brandon, manitoba.

near banff i think.

yours truly at the graffiti wall in brandon, manitoba
i walked around the whole town, and there was barely
any graffiti anywhere, which freaked me out
then my brother showed me this one wall
and was amazed.
so, they contain their "graffiti problem"
by concentrating on one wall and it works.

this leaves me to wonder
why won't it work elsewhere?

weird decaying mansions in brandon, manitoba
were everywhere, and there were alarms
or music being played every day at 5 pm
you could hear it all over town, this haunting melody
i shit you not!
spooky.

Regina, Sask, the mall downtown and i was killing time
between buses at their fancy, swank bus depot
when i noticed this old bank facade in the mall.
strange no?

fancy, swank new bus terminal in Regina, Saskatchewan.
cleanest bathrooms ever.
just so you know.
worst bathrooms ever?
the greyhound terminal in Vancity.
dreck.

random road photo in the town where "little Mosque on the Prairie"
is filmed, a place called "Indian Head."

Regina, Saskatchewan.
Fortunately, Sakewewake Artists Collective
brought me here in 2010, so i know my way
around a bit and could kill time away
from the bus terminal.

Geyho bus terminal.
haha, in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan
worst food ever, and bathrooms were so so.

Calgary, Alberta.
I never thought I'd be happy to see it,
but after traveling across the country
by car, by plane and by bus,
i was quite happy to get there
because it meant, i was close to home.

that's a whole other bag of hammers
to discuss.

thanks for stopping by, and until next postings,

cb
